zbest-organic-mulch-OMRI-certification Z-Best Organic Mulch (Biotreatment Wood Mulch) is made from composted wood and made to meet Biotreatment Wood Mulch (BWM) as specified by Santa Clara Valley Urban Runoff Pollution Prevention Program (SCVURPPP). Z-Best Organic Mulch is an excellent ground cover product that greatly enhances the aesthetic appearance of landscapes. When placed around plants, mulch can help retain moisture, control weeds, and help prevent erosion. In addition, this composted mulch is less combustible than other mulches. Composted mulch is also recommended for use in Bioretention Facilities.
Z-Best Organic Mulch goes through a 9-20 week composting process. During the composting period, accepted thermophilic composting procedures are performed to accomplish pathogen reduction through time and temperature (130-170 degrees (F) throughout the composting period). This ensures a thoroughly composted, weed and pathogen free product. Z-Best Organic Mulch is processed to 3-inch minus in size, is OMRI Listed, and is registered with CDFA as an Organic Input Material.
